For beginners, returners, and anyone ready to get their body in motion

Sasha Suslina (she/her) is a Russian-born movement artist, creator, and educator with 20+ years of training in ballet, jazz, high heels, contemporary, latin hustle and whacking. Her performance & choreography credits include FIFA World Cup, Haute&Freddy, Mt. Joy, 88Rising, CommUNITY is GOAT, The Harvest Showcase, USC Night of Ideas, On Board(hers) Project, to name a few.
Sasha’s classes are open to all bodies, ages and backgrounds. They are playful sanctuaries where technique grows hand in hand with self-trust.
Having spent years dancing from a place of pressure and praise for endurance over expression, Sasha knows how easy it is to lose touch with your own body. That’s why she now teaches the way she wishes she’d been taught: with curiosity, compassion, and the radical belief that your body’s wisdom matters. Sasha believes dance is more than an art form - it's a way back to yourself.
(Also, it’s very fun.)
Your sessions with Sasha can include heels, ballet, jazz, contemporary, floorwork, stretching, and somatic practices — shaped entirely around what you need.

Frequently Asked Questions

Comfortable clothes you can move freely and sweat in. For heels, boots with good ankle support are recommended to start. We can also figure out together what would be the most appropriate heel type/height for you over IG dms or email. For floorwork, long sleeves and leggings save your knees and elbows. Otherwise barefoot or non-slippery socks is perfect. If your session needs anything specific, I'll let you know beforehand.

None at all. Most of the people I work with are complete beginners — you don't have to be a dancer to dance. The beauty of private classes is that you are met exactly where you are.
-
I have taught dance and movement to people from 7 to 73 yo. All ages are welcome and encouraged :)

Please do. Bring the song that makes you want to move — it's your lesson. And if you have no idea, I've got plenty; picking something together is half the fun.

Yes — first dances, surprise routines, the whole "please help us not just sway in a circle for four minutes" situation. Please reach out via email with your event date, concept and other details.

Yes — you just need a little space and a propped-up phone or laptop. In person is my favorite, but distance doesn't have to stop you.
